May Day at the Castle
Each year the club runs an event at Whitstable Castle on May Day bank holiday. We produce a simple programme of events with the aid of local junior school pupils. They are asked to design a poster that reflects the spirit of May Day to be used on the front of the programme. Each year we get hundreds of entries and choosing the winner is always a difficult task. The winner and runners up are invited to May Day where prizes are presented. Many of the other entries are laminated and displayed on the railings round the Castle.
